This project was materialized together with Boris Statelov, representative of Hempel for Bulgaria.

When you get in the dockyard of Varna, you see the greatest modern painting gallery in the world.
The hulls of the ships, hauled for dry docking, display all known techniques upon hundreds of square meters: from the industrial minimalism of the finished outward bound vessels to the multi-layer historical scars highlighted by corrosion and awkward attempts at touch up on old timers of exotic flags.

This project includes working photographs of Boris Statelov taken on the different stages of the repair process, photographs and paintings of Dimitar Traichev and paintings of Mariya Zafirkova.
